Caught on opposite sides of the revolution, Benjamin Franklin s teenage reporters, American colonist James and young Englishwoman Sarah, confront the real, physical dangers of war. As the conflict rages, James and Sarah are compelled to choose between their friendship and their countries, their understanding of good and evil, and the moral dilemmas inherent in war. All the while they try to look after the mischievous Henri, an immigrant French boy whose comical escapades constantly lead them into trouble, as the three bear witness to the highs and lows of the American Revolution.

This video will discuss the first successful English colony, Jamestown. Early settlers attempted to grow many crops. However, none of them were as successful as tobacco. John Rolfe was responsible for bringing this crop to the new world, thus changing history forever. Tobacco quickly turned Jamestown into a boom town that encourage others to come to North America. |

Once Jamestown had been established, many new communities began to emerge. These communities were known as the '13 Colonies'. However, these 13 colonies were seen as British colonies, all of which were under British control. Having grown tired of excessive taxes and a monarchy, colonists soon demanded changes. |

After the Boston Massacre, Paul Revere and other patriots began to mobilize and fight the British. The first major battle of the American Revolution was at Lexington and Concord. Often referred to as 'the shot' heard around the world, this event forced the King to wage war against his own colonies and people. |

Despite suffering numerous loses , the Patriots continued to fight for independence. This was war allow General George Washington to become the new leader and icon of the revolution. However, as with all wars, this war has many casualties. The continual lose of life and freedoms eventually helped General Washington created new soldiers and battle plans. |
